Hello Family!

We are in transit waiting in KL for another 3hrs so we thought that we would write another update of the last few days of our journey.  It was so hard to say farewell to Mao An and all our family at BCC. They all wait with big smiles until the end and give us kisses through the glass windows…..little baby Lucas was crying and saying he wanted to come with us….if I could I would LOVE to bring him home!  They are anticipating the next teams arrival with great expectation.

All the team have been great and none of us have been sick. We have definitely felt your prayers and the grace of God on our lives, we know that each one of us have been sent.

Each one of us have learnt so much,  and are so grateful for the experience and look forward to building for the future.  We know that God is expanding our hearts…if you could picture Som Nang in his tuk tuk with all of BCC children squashed into it on the way to the airport to say good bye to us you would weep for joy and crack up with laughter! Mao An and Mom prayed for all of us and BTC Perth with the support of all the BCC team in the car with us, was so precious.   Last night was so quiet and so was this morning as they had election day today….

We went to Tropang Tmor another village in the Province of Krom Chnang,  the poorest village.  The day began and ended with Children children and more children it was wonderful….there were over 120 children! We started worshiping God together so you could image the heavenly sound of all of them singing in Khmer there was such a tangible presence of God – wow!  We sang many action songs with the children and did some fun skits and ministered with them there was such an openess with the children and such a strong connection straight away…..the parent and adults we found were more guarded and still new to the Lord.  Although we embraced them with love.  We then had fun with them played game, soccer, four square, tugger war… Mom was also teaching them in game form about how Parents should never sell their children or bargain for them in exchange for money….etc

We prayed for the sick children and really prayed against all violation in every form lust, incest etc and again there were very strong winds as we prayed and a storm started as in first village. We handed out clothes, shoes, lollies, 450kgs of rice, medicines etc plus 21kgs of rambutan which was a feast for the children because they had not had fruit like that for a long time.    We also prayed over the leaders and for those with specific needs. We were touched by the generosity in their preparation of meals for us. It was an overall successful day for the Kingdom and we all came away humbled once again.

All the money that has been sown into this trip from you all of you at BTC has been properly utilised and will improve lifestyles for those that have nothing and all of your support has been embraced by them in whichever form you have contributed….especially your prayers.

On Thursday morning we were picked up by our driver and brought to BCC.  We had hardly pulled up when a sea of smiling faces came running out of the front door to greet us with hugs, kisses.  We had a tour of the building and fellowship with the team.  We felt to have a time of prayer and seek God for the work here. As we prayed the love and connection with our family became so evident,  we gathered around Mao An and Mom and we all prayed prophetically over them.  The words of encouragement were flowing and tears were streaming everyone contributed.  We did the same for the team and built into them with words of encouragement and appreciation.  We then had a powerful time of worship that resounded through the building.  A real sense of victory came and we all danced and cheered praising God! After we spent time encouraging the leaders, Mao An, Sarah, Timothy, Som Nung Buth Sa etc We then went to Dani’s house and after had an amazing meal prepared by Mom.

The last village was one that had strong persecution and the leader who was a woman shone forth the presence of God.  Mao An said that there were 30 children although there were actually  70.  Children’s Ministry again as well as teaching for the adults and praise and worship.  Every time we handed out clothes or shoes or toys the children began to give an outburst of praise “YAY!” you would have thought that you were at a football match.  There faces were just beaming with gratitude and surprise it was very hard to leave. Even in the poverty there was a sense of cleanliness and pride of the small things that they had.

I felt to stay back spend some time with the BCC Children, Sarah and Melissa. It was a day also full of great accomplishments. First I went to BCC and was welcomed by the children with such excitement…it was really right as I felt the children also needed ministry…they were just standing around doing nothing.  We worshiped, prayed and played games and when I handed out the toys they were screaming with joy! I was able to go through the BCC resources with Sarah,  we then headed out to the christian book shop(like Koorong) store and the markets to buy bible teaching resources books, colour paper etc and children’s chairs and tables – they had 2 small stools for the children that they had been borrowing so it was wonderful to set them up. We then had lunch with Melissa, and the Team also came back for lunch. Then we all went to BCC and hung out with our the family,  Garry and Al had time with the children, Barry spent time with Mao An and Margret, myself Mom and the girls went on a tuk tuk to ‘Toys and Me’. What a fantastic place to buy good quality wood educational toys, instruments, puzzles blocks etc. We purchased some for BCC Children’s Church, very reasonable prices too. We then had a quiet night packing and fellowshipping with Melissa while the boys went to Central Market.

Well, time to board so we look forward to seeing you all!!!!!
